The Project

Casa Emilio Dondé 7, a heritage building dating back to the 1860s and located within the Historic Center of Mexico City, will be fully restored to take on new life as part of the traditional La Ciudadela neighborhood. As such, the building will open a new chapter in its history, contributing to the currently buzzing urban life of the area.
Initially functioning as a single-family home featuring two levels and three internal patios, the building will be reactivated through an integral project by architect Juan Carral. The rehabilitation will feature 37 residential units and 9 commercial lots, a mixed-use development surrounded by monuments of high historic value. This exclusive home, with its three patios and two shared-use terraces, is the only building dating back to the New Mexico Colony that remains on Emilio Dondé street.
